Is it really free?
Yes — for one user with the core modules, free forever, no trial clock. Adding users will cost €12/year each (free for now while we're getting started), and some modules are one-time purchases — but the core always stays free.
Do I need a server?
No. Any reasonably modern Windows PC works — the one at the front desk is fine. Svalog runs in the background and uses very little memory.
Does it work on Mac, Linux, tablets or phones?
Svalog itself installs on one Windows PC. After that, any device on the same network — a Mac, a Linux machine, a tablet or a phone — can use it through a web browser. There's nothing to install on those devices; you just open Svalog's address in the browser.
How many people can use it?
Svalog is designed for teams of up to about 20 people using it at the same time over a local network.
Is my data in the cloud?
No. Everything is stored in a single database file on your PC, in a folder you choose. Svalog works entirely on your local network.
What about backups?
Svalog backs up the database automatically to a folder you pick — a NAS or an external drive is ideal. Restoring is copying one file.
Can I use it in Slovenian?
Yes. The entire app ships in English and Slovenian, including PDFs and e-invoices. E-invoicing follows the EN 16931 / e-SLOG standard.
Does it handle compliant e-invoices?
Yes. Svalog generates structured e-invoices to the EN 16931 European standard and the Slovenian e-SLOG format, so they're accepted by public-sector and B2B partners. Your accountant gets a clean period export (PDF, XML and CSV) — no manual re-keying.
What if I outgrow it?
Your data is a standard SQLite database and every list exports to CSV. There is no lock-in — migrating away is as easy as migrating in.
Can it do something specific to my business?
Possibly already — check the module marketplace. If not, the module SDK lets any developer extend Svalog with new pages, documents and logic.
