Terms of Use

1. What these terms cover

These terms govern your use of the svalog.com website, Svalog accounts and the module marketplace, and your use of the Svalog desktop application and its modules. By using any of them, you agree to these terms.

2. The software

Svalog is a self-hosted desktop ERP: it runs on your own hardware and stores your data locally. You are responsible for the computers it runs on, for keeping and verifying backups (the built-in backup feature helps, but test your backups), and for complying with the laws that apply to your business, including invoicing, tax and accounting rules. Svalog is a tool — it is not accounting, tax or legal advice.

3. Licence

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Svalog and the modules you have obtained for your own internal business purposes. You may not resell or redistribute the software or modules, present modified copies as official Svalog releases, or circumvent module signing or licence validation.

4. Accounts

Some features — buying and restoring paid modules — require a Svalog account. Keep your credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

5. Paid modules and payments

Paid modules are one-time purchases at the price shown at checkout. Payments are processed by our payment partner Polar, acting as merchant of record, which means the payment transaction is concluded with Polar under its terms of service. Licences are issued per company instance and limited to a set number of machines; you can move activations between machines as described in the documentation.

6. Refunds

If a paid module does not work as described and we cannot fix the problem within a reasonable time, contact us within 14 days of purchase and we will refund it; the licence is then deactivated. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

7. Third-party modules

The marketplace may include modules built by third-party developers. We review and sign modules before they are published, but each module remains the responsibility of its developer, and we do not warrant third-party modules.

8. Acceptable use

Do not use the website, accounts or marketplace unlawfully, attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to our services, or abuse the newsletter, account or licensing endpoints.

9. Updates and availability

We may update the application, modules and online services, and we may change or discontinue features. We do not guarantee that the online services (marketplace, updates, account) are available at all times. Because Svalog is self-hosted, your installed application and your data remain available on your own machines regardless of our online services.

10. Warranty disclaimer

To the extent permitted by law, the software, modules, website and online services are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, and we do not warrant that they will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of profits or loss of data (keep backups), and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the current version is always published here with its date. Material changes affecting account holders will be announced. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Slovenia, and the courts of Slovenia have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.
